Techniques
Judo ("The Gentle Way") was founded by Dr. Jigoro Kano in 1882. It is a Japanese martial art which emphasizes upon throws (nagewaza), ground grappling (newaza), joint-locks (kansetsuwaza), and chokes (shimewaza). Judo is an extremely effective method of self-defense which enables a smaller person to overcome a larger person. Judo can be enjoyed as a martial art, exercise, or sport by people of all ages.
The following is just a small sample of Judo techniques.
